ABOUT ME
Who am I and what is the purpose of this website?
Kirill Vasilev
I am Kirill Vasiliev— the founder of BrainDrainToSpain. I am 15 years old, I have been living and studying in a Spanish boarding school for 3 years. I study English, Spanish, and French. I am fond of science, astronomy, and nature, I like to travel. I love communicating with my Spanish friends and getting new and interesting knowledge on a daily basis. Also, to explore new elements of Spanish society for myself and explore the culture of a wonderful and mysterious country for myself, which on the other hand is already quite familiar to me. I am currently in my final year of middle school at San Patricio in Toledo. You can be those who want to study abroad next year, someone who is just about to start studying abroad, or just one interested in living in the beautiful mountainous country of Spain, I am glad to every visitor of this website.

The educational process has always been a poorly managed aspect when it comes to CIS countries. A big part of its poor organization lies in its imbalance. The educational process there is focused on everything and leads to nothing. The study program not only does not entertain students well but also does not allow them to choose any subjects, as, for example, happens in the International Baccalaureate. Everyone is required to study all subjects during school years at a high but outdated level, which also makes the program quite difficult. This high complexity, however, is not as privileged and efficient as it might seem. A huge amount of material, in addition to boring monotonous textbooks, really exhausts students, and as a result of which students do not learn the information they are taught to the greatest benefit.

In addition to the functional shortcomings of the program, Russia and its closest neighbors are very isolated. Therefore, there is a lack of international experience, which is of great value in our modern developing world. According to statistics, only a third of the entire population of Russia has a passport. Language learning at school is very weak, while the Russian government strives to develop a close national community, not a multinational population. This limits the opportunities and passion of students who want to study or live abroad, travel around the world without any language barriers, or take part in the modern process of globalisation in Europe.

In this blog on my website, I will try to tell you the most important and interesting things that you will definitely need to know before coming to the sunny wonderful country of Spain. BrainDrainToSpain is an informational Internet website, part of a school project created with the aim of telling about the country of Spain, the environment here, its culture, and the language. At the same time, it is set to tell teenagers about the residence students might face and studies flow on IB. Due to the intense situation in Russia and the CIS countries, most families began to consider the possibility of sending their children abroad. Spain is a popular country in Europe due to its rich culture and history. It is also one of the most visited countries in Europe because of its climate. Consequently, the choice of many moving falls on this country. In addition, this type of solution is not easy to implement. Parents and families do not have much time to find out the information they are interested in about the country of their destination. Therefore, my goal is to help everyone who wants to learn more about studying abroad, as part of my personal project. Thanks to the experience and knowledge that I acquired during my three years of study, a lot of help can be provided to a large number of people.
